As the name shows it has cylindrical, sleek shape. It is normally designed for indoor operation but some time can be used for outdoor application. It is mounted at a particular area and capture images from fixed area. Some bullet proof cameras are also waterproof. But these cameras are not for zoom control.

Day/Night Security Cameras

These are popular types of cameras now days. These allow to seen image in dim or no light. These are specially designed for dark areas like garage, warehouse etc. They are not suitable for outdoor operations because infra red does not work well in outdoor housing. But if you want to cover large area then it’s better to install more than one day/night security cameras.

Dome Security Cameras

It is fixed in doom shape housing that’s why called doom shaped camera. It has several advantages. It provides 360 degree view of the area. Doom cameras also have many types like indoor/outdoor, infrared, low light. Further they do not have any extra wires for temper proofing.

Hidden Cameras

These cameras are so tiny that can be hidden in any thing like book, clock, teddy bear, computer speakers, exit signs picture frame etc. These are sometimes used as “nanny cams” due to their small size and monitoring the kids while their parents are not at homes.

Outdoor Cameras

For outdoor application, always use those cameras which are specially designed for outdoor application. Make it sure the installed camera can function and withstand in rain, humidity, high/low temperature etc.
